Camp Description

Mandy Hixon and her diving team will be holding a one-day spring diving clinic for all levels of divers at the University of Massachusetts Boyden pool.

Our clinic will accept every level of diver. Beginner divers, including those who have never participated in the sport of diving, will be taught the fundamentals of the sport, including jumps, hurdles, back press, front and back line ups, and any other progressions that the Coaching Staff deems them ready for.

More advanced divers will have an opportunity to concentrate on technical improvement on the one and three meter springboard.

Our clinics will consist of roughly two 30 minute sessions of dry land skills (belt work, spotting techniques, board work) conditioning and stretching and two 1 hour sessions of diving with video analysis of each diver. Our objective is to make this a fun and exciting learning opportunity for divers aged 6-18.

The only prerequisite is that divers can swim the length of a 25-yard pool on their own.

Space is limited to 15 divers per clinic.

Equipment: You will need to bring a suit, towel, shammy, water and a snack.

Camp Check-in

Check in for the clinic will be 30 minutes before the start. There will be a table set up near the parking area to get the divers organized.
