Covid-19 Information: Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we will be registering our participants for summer camps using the waitlist feature. This allows you to reserve your spot without paying any up-front fees. Please be sure to enter your credit card into our secure system to confirm your spot. The date your credit card will be charged is April 30th, 2021. If Marymount cancels camp between April 30th, 2021 and before your first day of camp (9.2.21 and/or 9.9.21) begins, camp will be refunded in full minus the credit card fees. This is typically $20.00.

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Boys of all skill levels and abilities are encouraged to attend. Bring your love for the game and be prepared to work!

 

Our goal for camp is to provide fundamental basketball instruction in a positive environment. Every facet of the game will be covered throughout the week. During our daily skill sessions, each camper will have the opportunity to practice specific fundamentals under staff supervision.

 

Each camper will receive a T-shirt and an evaluation from his respective coach. Camper evaluations will provide suggestions for improvement. There will be awards for contest winners.

EXTENDED DAY

Additional supervision after camp is available from 3:30-5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Registration for Extended Day will take place at check-in on the Monday morning of each session.  We will accept cash or credit. Extended Day is $50.00 per camper.

CAMP DIRECTOR

Chris Rogers

Head Coach – Marymount University Men’s Basketball

 

Coach Rogers just completed his 20th year of coaching at the college level, his 22nd overall and his 12th season as the Marymount’s head coach. He has played or coached at all three NCAA levels (Div. I, II & III) and was an Academic All-Big Ten selection during his senior year at Penn State University. Coach Rogers has played and coached in the NCAA tournament and has coached a Jostens Award winner (Division III Player of the Year).

 

Coach Rogers has 20 years of camp experience with children and young adults that includes skill development camps throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to coming to Marymount Coach Rogers worked for The Hoop Group; the worldwide leader in basketball instruction and exposure as a coach and evaluator.

Please bring a water bottle with your name clearly displayed.

Basketball shoes / sneakers designed for indoor court surfaces

CAMP STORE & CAMP BANK

We sell chips, oreos, candy and drinks during camp breaks. Everything is $1.00 or $2.00. We also provide a camp bank so that campers do not carry money around with them during the day. You can make a deposit in the camp bank at check-in on Monday morning or prior to camp during the remainder of the week. We refund balances after the awards ceremony on Friday afternoon.

 

CHECK-IN

Check in will be from 8:00 – 8:45 am on Monday, August 2nd for session 1 and Monday, August 9th

for session 2. It will take place in the Lee Center lobby on our main campus.

PARKING – DROP OFF & PICK UP

Marymount University Blue parking garage:

Parents will need to park in our Blue Garage on campus to pick up and drop off. There are two entrances to the blue garage. One is located on 26th St. North and one is on Yorktown Blvd. Both entrances are one block from the 26th St. North and Yorktown intersection. Once there, please look for signs to the Lee Center. We will also have camp staff stationed in and around the garage to help on Monday of each week to direct you.  Campus Safety has asked that you please do not park or drop off at the 2807 N. Glebe Rd. campus entrance.

***NOTE: COVID guidelines may alter the drop off and pick up procedures for camp. We will communicate those with as much advance notice as possible.***

 

MEALS

Lunch is included in the price and catered by Sodexo, our on-campus food service. Sodexo is currently monitoring CDC, state and county COVID guidelines. We will update our lunch protocol closer to the time of camp and provide a daily menu for camp at check-in. Campers are welcome to bring their lunch as well.

 

ACCOMODATIONS

This is not an overnight camp. Participants traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

We have two full-sized, air-conditioned gyms and we use our campus auditoriums to show film and for breaks.

 

 

REFUND POLICY

  • There is a $50.00 non-refundable fee for all registrations.
  • Cancellations made by participants prior to July 2, 2021 will be reimbursed in full minus the $50.00 non-refundable fee.
  • Cancellations made by participants on or after July 3, 2021 will not be reimbursed. Camp credits will be issued on a case-by-case basis and require medical documentation.
  • If Marymount cancels camp after April 30th, 2021 and before your first day of camp begins (9.2.21 and/or 9.9.21), camp will be refunded in full minus the credit card fees. This is typically $20.

 

 

 

 

**FORCE MAJUREEither Party will be excused from delays in performing or from its failure to perform hereunder to the extent that such delays or failures result from causes such as fire, flood, earthquake, elements of nature or acts of God, global health emergency, pandemic or epidemic, labor disruptions or strikes, acts of war, terrorism, riots, civil disorders, rebellions or revolutions, quarantines, embargoes and other similar governmental or third-party action or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of such Party.  The Party whose performance has been delayed or prevented will act diligently to resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.

 

CAMP TIMELINE

March 26th – Registration is open to secure your spot

April 30th – Your credit card will be charged by ABC Sports Camps

May 31st – Last day to take advantage of the $375 Early Bird registration

June 1st – Registration is $400.00

July 2nd – Last day to receive refund of payment in full minus $50.00 administrative fee

July 3rd – Refunds are no longer available

August 2nd – First day of Session 1 / Option to register for Extended Day at check-in

August 9th – First day of Session 2 / Option to register for Extended Day at check-in
