Jay Johnson MLK Weekend Team Camp (Individuals)

Saturday, January 13, 2018 to Monday January 15, 2018
The Jay Johnson Baseball Academy is now accepting individual sign-ups for its Team’s Camp on the weekend of January 13-15. This camp is geared at Travel Teams and High School coaches signing up an entire team. But we have decided to add the feature which Would allow kids to sign up individually. Kids can sign up individually and you will be part of a team of other players that have signed up as individuals.
The camp is geared at instructing kids in a game environment. But there will also be individual Instruction throughout the day. We will have breakaway sessions in hitting, base running, Defensive play, catching, bunting. And pitching mechanics.
You will be signing up for this as either a pitcher, a position player, or a 2 way player. You will be Placed on a team with 12-14 other kids who are also signing up as individuals. You will be placed on a team.

This option of signing up as an individual for a team’s camp is the first time it’s ever been offered For this type of camp. We are excited at expanding this opportunity for potential future Wildcats To compete in front of our entire coaching staff. You will be signing up for the opportunity to play In at least 3 games and maybe 4 games for the weekend. Games will begin on Saturday January 13th And the team’s camp will end Monday January 15th. We will try to schedule your first game later In the day on Saturday January 13th to accommodate those traveling and we will make sure to Have your last game on Monday scheduled for the morning.

Beginning in 2012, Hi Corbett Field became the new home of Arizona baseball. Located approximately two miles southeast of the University of Arizona campus, Hi Corbett Field is the former Spring Training home of the Colorado Rockies and offers Major League-caliber amenities to the UA baseball program.
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, practice or game uniform/baseball pants for games and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided.
Jay Johnson Baseball Academy camps areopen to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. Jay Johnson Baseball Academy camps are not an official function of the University of Arizona.

Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
